Commercial Litigation
Patty helps clients protect their rights in their business dealings. Often the best strategy is to avoid costly litigation, and Patty is skilled at doing that through creative analysis and negotiation. She also has the knowledge and experience to tackle complex litigation in court and in arbitration. She’s handled everything from bet-the-company cases to routine contract claims – all while mindful that clients deserve realistic budgets and lawyers who adhere to them.
Arbitration
Having served on nearly 100 arbitration panels, Patty's focus is on contract, real estate, insurance, and securities disputes. She has extensive experience with claims involving the business of health care. She also consults with law firms and their clients on arbitration and handles arbitration cases as the advocate.
She is a member of American Arbitration Association’s Rosters of Neutrals for Large, Complex Commercial cases and Employment disputes. She also serves as a FINRA arbitrator.
Mediation
Patty’s 30-plus years of experience give her a deep appreciation of the challenges that parties and their attorneys face in trying to resolve disputes. She understands that, while all settlements must make economic sense, they also must address the more personal concerns that arise from failed business and personal relationships. She is a mediator with broad experience in commercial litigation, trade secrets, and the business of health care.
